Titulaire d’un doctorat de Biomathématiques et Habilitée à Diriger des Recherches, Murielle Mary-Krause est épidémiologiste à l'Institut Pierre Louis d’Epidémiologie et de Santé Publique (IPLESP, INSERM - Sorbonne Université) à Paris.
Après plus de 30 ans passés dans la recherche sur l’épidémiologie clinique de l’infection à VIH, et en particulier sur les complications liées à cette infection, à partir de la cohorte ANRS CO4-FHDH, elle a rejoint l’équipe ERES en avril 2016. Depuis lors, ses activités de recherche se sont essentiellement orientées sur les trajectoires de consommation de substances psychoactives, en particulier tabac, alcool et cannabis, et les différents facteurs sociaux, environnementaux et familiaux en lien avec ces trajectoires, chez les jeunes et les adultes, en particulier à partir des données de la cohorte TEMPO ou d’études ad hoc. Elle est également responsable d’un projet soutenu par l’IRESP qui concerne les raisons d’utilisation du cannabis chez les plus de 30 ans (projet CANAAn), et un projet soutenu par la MILDECA à propos des modes d’approvisionnement du cannabis en France et les facteurs associés (projet EFAMAC).
Elle responsable d’un projet de grande envergure, un essai interventionnel en lycées et collèges parisiens (PREVAJEUNE), avec le soutien de l’IRESP-INCA. Il s’agit de tester l’efficacité et l’acceptabilité d’une intervention échelonnée (DWM et PM+), développée par l’OMS pour des adultes, afin de réduire la détresse psychologique des jeunes de 11 à 20 ans, et par voie de conséquence, prévenir leur consommation de substances psychoactives. Elle est l’auteure ou co-auteure de plus de 75 articles originaux publiés dans des revues scientifiques à comité de lecture.
With a PhD in Biomathematics, Murielle Mary-Krause is an epidemiologist at the Pierre Louis Institute of Epidemiology and Public health (IPLESP, INSERM - Sorbonne University) in Paris.
After more than 30 years studying the clinical epidemiology of HIV infection, particularly the complications associated with this infection, using data from the cohort known as “the French Hospital Database on HIV” (ANRS CO4-FHDH), she joined the ERES Team in April 2016. Since then, her research has primarily focused on the trajectories of psychoactive substance use, particularly tobacco, alcohol, and cannabis, as well as the various social, environmental, and family factors associated with these trajectories, among young people and adults. Much of this work draws on data from the TEMPO cohort or ad hoc studies. She also leads an IRESP-supported project on the motivations for cannabis use among individuals over-30s (the CANAAn project), as well as a MILDECA-supported project on cannabis supply patterns in France and associated factors (the EFAMAC project). Additionally, she is responsible for a large-scale project, an intervention trial in Parisian high schools and middle schools (PREVAJEUNE), supported by IRESP-INCA. The aim of this project is to test the effectiveness and acceptability of a stepped intervention (DWM and PM+), developed by the WHO for adults, in reducing psychological distress among young people aged 11 to 20, and consequently preventing their use of psychoactive substances. She is the author or co-author of over 75 publications in international peer-reviewed journals.
